On Tuesday, Annie started First Grade.
She was in heaven...
school all day, packing her own lunch, new backpack...
what's not to love?
She picked out her own outfit.
She wore a dress because it was a "special day."
But with leggings so she could still do the monkey bars.
The line-up.
She sprinted to the line when the bell rang.
And she didn't even turn around.
No nerves.
I asked her if she was going to miss me.
She looked confused- like the thought had never crossed her mind.
Then she told me not to worry- she would be home at 4:00.
And just for fun, her day two outfit.
Because we all know that planning the first week of outfits is crucial.
And day three's outfit. I think Annie might be sick of the picture taking...
Walking to the bus stop with her friends.
Could she be ANY older?

WHAT!?! How did you get your kid to dress cute on day 2? She is adorable.
She may not have missed you but according to Rex (when he actually told me anything about his day) he and Annie and a couple of other kids had a great conversation and Annie expressed how much her mom and her sisters were going to miss her. Rex agreed that his mom and brothers were going to miss him as well. I think we get an A+ for teaching self esteem.
